Rotary Foundation of The Greater Poconos (RFGP) was founded as a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, in February 2023, to assist Rotary Club Of Mount Pocono with its 26th Annual Rotary Fly-In/Drive-In Pancake Breakfast, which raised funds that were then donated to other NPOs that provided services to Mount Pocono and Monroe County, PA communities. 

In 2024, RFGP refined its Mission, as a public charity, that would, in partnership with Rotary Club Of The Greater Poconos and other NPOs, provide charitable and educational services to The Greater Poconos in line with three of Rotary International’s Seven Causes; 1) Supporting Education 2) Growing Local Economies and 3) Saving Mothers & Children.

RFGP has committed to provide three (3) critically needed services as follows:

1) Rotary-GP Saturday Institute: Provides 15 weeks of workshops for youth & young adults in Financial literacy, Addiction prevent,  Introduction to occupations, Technology connections and Healthy living.

2) Rotary-GP VITA: This Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program provides FREE income tax return preparation services to Low and Moderate-Income, Elderly, Disabled & Limited English Proficiency taxpayers to help them secure Earned Income Tax Credits, Child Tax Credits, so they can feed their families. VITA also adds millions of dollars to local economies.

3) Rotary Community HUB:  Rotary Club Of The Greater Poconos & RFGP are teaming up to avail FREE and Low cost office and meeting space to non-profit organizations and recovery groups (AA, NA, CA & GA) that provide no cost services that seek to combat/reverse the rising tide of Addiction, Violence, and Maternal & Mental Health issues in The Greater Poconos.
