Rotary-GP VITA

Rotary-GP Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) provides FREE preparation of Federal, State, & local income tax returns and PA 1000 (Real Estate Tax & Renter Rebates Form) for qualified Low to Moderate-Income Taxpayers. Via a partnership between Rotary Foundation of The Greater Poconos (RFGP) & Rotary Club of The Greater Poconos (RFGP), and financial support select sponsors, qualified residents of Monroe & Pike County, PA can save on income tax prep fees they would otherwise pay to paid preparers and have tax return prepared and reviewed for accuracy by trained and IRS Certified volunteers. Our FREE services are available to Low and Moderate Income residents of Monroe and Pike County, PA whose 2024 Tax Year 2024 income up to $70,000.

Key Features Of Rotary-GP VITA Program are:

  1. Free Preparation of Federal, State & Local Tax Returns & PA 1000 (Real Estate & Renter Rebate) Application: All tax return sand rebate application forms are prepared for free by trained and IRS Certified volunteers.

  2. Focus On Specific Tax Credits: Rotary-GP VITA Volunteers help Taxpayers secure numerous tax benefits, including Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC), Child Tax Credits (CTC), and other tax credits and rebates the Taxpayers qualifies for.

  3. Error Reduction: All returns are prepared by a trained and IRS Certified Preparer & reviewed by a different trained and IRS Certified Quality Reviewer to ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.

  4. Fast & Safe Refunds: Returns are E-Filed so Taxpayers receive refunds quickly via direct deposit to their personal bank account.
  5.  Multiple Locations: Rotary-GP VITA sites will operate from January 29, 2025 to April 15, 2025, from 10AM to 4PM on different days at the five (5) sites listed below:

Advance Registration Is Requested! All services are provided on a walk-in and first come first served basis, with priority given to those who registered in advance. Based on the volume of Taxpayers seeking our FREE services, some tax returns will be prepared face to face and on-site, while others will be prepared offsite based on Taxpayer’s scanned documents and Taxpayer will need to return on another day to review, sign, and pick up their completed tax return.
