Rotary Club of The Greater Poconos (RCGP) serves Monroe, Pike, Wayne & Carbon Counites in Northeast, PA

To help the communities we serve, in January 2025, our Rotary Club will partner with our affiliated Rotary Foundation Of The Greater Poconos (RFGP) and launch our Rotary-GP VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program to aide low and moderate income residents by providing FREE income tax return preparation and real estate tax and renter rebate application completion services. These services will save the low and moderate-Income, Elderly, Disabled, Veteran, Limited English Speaking and Native American Taxpayers we will serve hundred of dollars in tax prep fees that they would otherwise pay to paid tax preparers. These FREE services will also help many Taxpayers secure Earned Income Tax Credits, Child Tax Credits, Student Education Tax Credits, and other tax credits and rebates that will enable them to catch up on past due bills, purchase fuel to heat their homes, stop evictions, and hopefully get a on a path to financial security through our FREE Financial Education & Asset Building (FEAB) workshops.

Our Rotary-GP VITA program also allows our Rotary Club member to engage and interact with volunteers, of all ages and from all walks of life, from retired seniors to college students. Together We all gain valuable experiences working with other community members as we live out the ROTARY axiom of "Service Above Self!"
